Instructions to setup sync between Google Docs and Dropbox

Google Docs and Drpbox

  • If you are a new cloudHQ user click “Sign up Now” button
  • Select “Use Google Gmail ID” to create an account and 
  • Click “Create Account” button
  • cloudHQ is requesting permissions to access your Google account
  • Select an account that you would like to use
  • Click “Continue” button
  • Do you want to configure synchronization and replication?
  • Click “Yes” button
  • Click “Google Docs” image button to add Google Docs service to cloudHQ
  • Select “I want to add Google Apps for personal use
  • Click “Add Google Account” button
  • cloudHQ is requesting permissions to access your Google account
  • Select an account that you would like to use
  • Click “Continue” button
  • cloudHQ is requesting access for Google Docs products
  • Click “Grant access” button
  • Select Goggle Docs folder
  • Click “Select Folder” button
  • Click “Droopbox” image button to add Dropbox service to cloudHQ
  • cloudHQ redirects you to link to your Dropbox account
  • Type Dropbox username
  • Type Dropbox password
  • Click “Log In” button
  • Dropbox is authorized
  • You need to specify Dropbox RSS feed of your Dropbox account
  • If you don’t have RSS feed, click on Dropbox link to find RSS feed
  • Go to Dropbox page
  • Select “Events” tab
  • Click “Subscribe to this feed” button
  • Click “Copy to clipboard” button to copy Dropbox RSS feed to clipboard.
  • Paste Dropbox RSS feed in the specified text box of cloudHQ form
  • click “Save” button
  • Browse Dropbox folders
  • Select Dropbox folder
  • Click “Select folder” button
  • Click “Start Realtime Continuous Synchronization” button.
  • Real time synchronization is started
  • Click link to see synchronization console.
  • Synchronization is running
  • Sync folders (Google Docs and Dropbox) are visible
